At both shows, visitors will discover Sappi’s full spectrum of innovations, from self-adhesive face stock papers and release liners to wet glue label solutions—with wet glue papers serving as the unifying showcase across both exhibitions.

Proven wet glue solutions anchor exhibition strategy

As the primary connection between both exhibitions, Sappi's wet glue label portfolio showcases proven solutions for demanding applications. The Parade Label WS range offers double-coated, high-wet-strength and alkali-resistant properties with a functional coating on the reverse side, specifically engineered for returnable bottles used in beer, mineral water, and soft drinks applications.

Available in grammages from 65-80 g/m2, Parade Label WS delivers exceptional whiteness, brightness, and outstanding surface quality whilst ensuring perfect printing and finishing results for maximum shelf impact and brand differentiation. The range includes Parade Label WS Linen, featuring attractive linen embossing that enhances both look and feel whilst optimising functionality through improved label separability and reduced static adhesion, ensuring labels wash off easily when preparing bottles for reuse.

Complete solutions span self-adhesive to packaging

Labelexpo Europe's focus on self-adhesive labelling provides the ideal showcase for Sappi's comprehensive range of face stock papers and release liners. As a market-leading supplier of face stock papers for self-adhesive labels, Sappi continues to set the standard for quality and performance across the industry. The Parade Face portfolio offers exceptional print surfaces from high-gloss to semi-gloss to matt, helping brands create distinctive packaging that captures consumer attention and drives shelf appeal.

Parade Face High Gloss (80 gsm) stands as the recognised benchmark for premium label applications, delivering exceptional smoothness and brilliant print reproduction for high-end packaging across premium food products, premium home care products, and luxury beverages. The product is particularly renowned for metallisation applications, where a thin aluminium layer creates eye-catching silver effects that elevate brand perception. Meanwhile, Parade Face Semi Gloss (77 gsm) serves as Europe's market-leading face stock for standard applications, delivering reliable performance across flexo, rotogravure, offset, letterpress, and digital printing systems.

Complementing the face stock range, Sappi's established portfolio of high-performance CCK and glassine paper-based release liners continues to evolve, with sustainability now established as an equally important element alongside functionality, quality, cost, and availability in customer decision-making. The exhibition, taking place in Barcelona for the first time after 38 years in Brussels, allows Sappi to present its complete self-adhesive label solutions whilst also demonstrating wet glue label papers.

Beyond wet glue labels, Drinktec will also feature Sappi's packaging solutions, including containerboard and paperboard offerings. Fusion Topliner, a premium virgin fibre liner, delivers exceptional brightness, impressive whiteness, and an elegant silky surface for high-quality corrugated board applications, whilst the Algro Design and Algro Volume premium paperboards provide creative freedom in packaging design with brilliant colour reproduction and excellent converting properties.

First-time participation marks strategic expansion

Drinktec in Munich, held every three to four years, marks Sappi's first-time participation in this exhibition, whilst Labelexpo Europe in Barcelona, held biennially in Europe, continues as a cornerstone event for Sappi's labelling business. The overlapping timeframes of both exhibitions provide an efficient opportunity to demonstrate Sappi's comprehensive capabilities across multiple market segments.

"Participating in both Drinktec and Labelexpo Europe allow us to showcase the complete scope of our label portfolio, from wet glue solutions that perform reliably in demanding applications to self-adhesive technologies that meet evolving market needs," says Jan Hasselblatt, Head of Sales Self-Adhesives at Sappi.

"Our comprehensive range demonstrates how we serve diverse labelling requirements whilst maintaining our commitment to sustainable, high-performance solutions," adds Jörg Waldorf, Head of Sales Wet Glue Labels at Sappi.
